HUDSON WINE FESTIVAL SET TO RAISE $25,000 FOR HUMANE SOCIETY
Hudson, Ohio (June 18, 2008) – The Humane Society of Greater Akron (HSGA) in conjunction with Vue Restaurant & Lounge are gearing up for the first ever Hudson Wine Festival with a goal to bring in $25,000 for homeless animals in Summit County.
On Saturday, July 19 from 12 – 8 p.m. and Sunday, July 20 from 1 – 6 p.m. guests will enjoy sampling over 250 wines from national and international producers and scrumptious food. Along Village Way, look for vendors, pet related items, and of course, HSGA animals and merchandise. Cooking demonstrations, musical entertainment and raffles are just a few event highlights.
Bid on two round trip tickets on AirTran Airways at a V.I.P. event being held on Friday July 18 at 6:30 p.m. at Vue. Other amazing auction items will be on hand and guests will be treated to mouth-watering hors d’oeuvres along with premium wines. V.I.P. tickets are available for $100 and include a general admission ticket good on Saturday or Sunday for the festival. Tickets can be purchased at Vue Restaurant, The Shoe Gallery of Hudson, PostNet, HSGA or online at www.summithumane.org/hudsonwine.
Hudson Wine Festival partners to date include: Group Management Services, Alliance-Bernstein, E.A. Loxley & Associates, Hudson Collision Center, Akron Life & Leisure, Wine Buzz, National City Bank, First & Main / Fairmount Properties, Champagne Entertainment & Productions, TLC Child Development Center, Ohio Materials Handling, Wasacz & Skvoretz Ltd., Rubber City Radio Group, Coca-Cola Bottling Company, Suncrest Gardens, Printer’s Devil and Pinkerton Insurance. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door and include 10 tastings and a souvenir wine glass. Additional tastings are 10 for $5 at the event. All wines will be available for retail purchase during the event. Leashed pets are welcome. The Humane Society of Greater Akron (HSGA) will host animals for adoption from 12 – 4 on Saturday and 1 – 4 on Sunday.
