HUDSON WINE FESTIVAL TO BENEFIT HUMANE SOCIETY OF GREATER AKRON FOR SECOND YEAR
Hudson, Ohio (March 25, 2009) – Summit Charitable Events Foundation is pleased to present the second annual Hudson Wine Festival, a benefit for Pawsibilities, The Humane Society of Greater Akron (HSGA), taking place on July 18 and 19, 2009 and sponsored by Vue Restaurant & Lounge and First & Main.
The event will showcase over 250 wines from local, national and international producers. Guests will enjoy musical entertainment, delectable foods, cooking demonstrations, discussions on wine trends and various raffles throughout the weekend.
“We are excited to once again partner with Summit Charitable Events Foundation, Vue Restaurant and First & Main so we can continue to rescue and find homes for abandoned, neglected and injured animals in our area.” said Christine Shock, Director of Communication Relations, HSGA.
The Hudson Wine Festival will take place Saturday, July 18 from 1 – 9 p.m. and Sunday, July 19 from 1 –5 p.m. along Village Way in the beautiful First & Main shopping district. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door and include 10 tastings and a souvenir wine glass. Additional tastings are 10 for $5 at the event.
In addition, a special V.I.P. event will be held Friday, July 17 at 6 p.m. at Vue Restaurant where guests will be treated to mouth-watering hors d’oeuvres from Chef Rick Carson and his staff, along with premium wine tastings and a silent auction among other activities. The Hudson Wine Festival raised more than $17,000 for the Humane Society in 2008 and drew over 3,000 people.
