Hudson Wine Festival to Benefit the Humane Society Vue Restaurant presents the first annual Hudson Wine Festival to benefit the Humane Society of Greater Akron (HSGA), on July 19 and 20, 2008. The event will showcase over 250 wines from national and international producers. Guests will enjoy musical entertainment, international foods, cooking demonstrations, discussions on wine trends and various raffles throughout the weekend. "We are excited to partner with the Vue and the surrounding communities so we can continue to rescue and find homes for abandoned, neglected and injured animals in our area." said Chalan Geul, Director of Communications. The Hudson Wine Festival will take place Saturday, July 19 from 12 - 8 p.m. and Sunday, July 20 from 1 - 6 p.m. in the parking lot directly behind the Vue Restaurant, located at 46 Village Way in the beautiful First & Main shopping district. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door and include 10 tastings and a souvenir wine glass. Additional tastings are 10 for $5 at the event. In addition, a special V.I.P. event will be held Friday, July 18 at 6 p.m. inside the Vue where guests will be treated to mouth-watering hors d'oeuvres from Chef Rick Carson and his staff, along with premium wine tastings and a silent auction among other activities. V.I.P. tickets are available for $100 and can be obtained through the Vue or HSGA. "We understand the important role the HSGA plays in our community and we are honored to support them with the first annual Hudson Wine Festival," said Mike Tomaselli, general manager of Vue Restaurant.
