Hudson Wine Festival Set to Host More Than 7,500 Wine & Animal Lovers at Annual Event

Hudson, Ohio (June 29, 2011) – The fourth annual Hudson Wine Festival, produced by Summit Charitable Events Foundation, will once again primarily benefit Pawsibilities®, The Humane Society of Greater Akron with partial proceeds going to Hattie Larlham Doggie Day Care & Boarding.

Featuring more than 200 wines from local, national and international producers, guests will also enjoy musical entertainment, delectable food from Nosh Eatery & Creative Catering, wine education seminars, artists and exhibitors throughout the weekend.

“We are thrilled at the response we have seen to date for this year’s wine festival and look forward to attracting record crowds and raising much needed funds for two great organizations” said Butch Bartlett, President, Summit Charitable Events Foundation.

The weekend will get underway on Friday, July 15 at 6:00 p.m. with the Wine & Wags VIP Preview Party at Lake Forest Country Club. Tickets are $90 and include fine wines, food stations, entertainment a silent auction and a weekend festival pass.

Next up is the Paws on Parade kick-off event, coordinated by Hattie Larlham Doggie Day Care & Boarding. Registration begins at 9:00 a.m. and dogs and their owners will have the opportunity to prance through downtown Hudson as well as enter contests for best costume, look-a-like, cutest dog and best dog trick. The Hudson Wine Festival will take place Saturday, July 16 from 1 – 9 p.m. and Sunday, July 17 from 1 – 6 p.m. along Village Way in the beautiful First & Main shopping district. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door and include 10 tastings and a souvenir wine glass. Additional tastings are 10 for $5 at the event.
